Happy Birthday Kelly! (and to all the other many April babies we’re celebrating!)
We had initially made plans to go see a movie, but everyone was recovering from a little cold (and subsequent sleep deprivation) so instead we had a really nice, laid back time at home. Andrei and Jocivel (Kia’s brother and sister-in-law) came by with a coffee cake, and we ordered in some sushi. Nana sent us photos of Kelly as a little bundle – and we’re seeing some likenesses:
It has also been the week of never ending appointments. Rhea’s 1 month check up on Wednesday went great! On Thursday, she had an EEG. She was so relaxed and good natured, she impressed the whole floor. Afterwards, Rhea got a nice long bath at home and was in the best mood she’s been in all week, so we put her in her play gym. We are starting to see some sneaky smiles when she’s having a riot, and can’t wait to capture one for you all to see 🙂
There were multiple times this week we counted our blessings–that we both work from home, and can support each other with the pure logistics of getting around with a newborn. That we can spend so much time with Rhea and focus on her health. Whether it’s some suction assistance with your run-of-the-mill snotty nose, or excercises to make sure she hits her developmental milestones, both of us are very active in her day-to-day care.

We think she likes it too.

Oh my goodness! What a great month!
