Happy 1 Year Rhea!

It’s official. We have a toddler on our hands (pray for us with yours). Entering her second rotation around the sun with a distinctive Frankenstein walk (arms out-stretched and usually holding on to her favorite toy – socks) she celebrated in style.

As we have been derelict in our duties, we decided to resurrect some images from Christmas (Rhea age 10 months, Keiko 2 and 3/4)

AND a bonus – some beautiful shots from our 4 day vacay in Florida (Keiko almost 3, Manu 3 months)

Also, just ’cause we like you, a sleeping Rhea, a nacho feasting Rhea, and Rhea makes a friend, all from the last week:

Our hearts are still bursting as we watch this little monkey get stronger and more independent everyday! Just when we thought we couldn’t be happier, we got some excellent (though not entirely unexpected) good news: Rhea has been discharged from both the Neuro Clinic and the NICU follow-up clinic – meaning she has made a full and resolute recovery from her traumatic birth. We feel unbelievably lucky and thankful for all of the support from our family and the professionals.

  1. Thanks so much for sharing all the pics! Sorry we missed seeing everyone at Christmas. What a blessing she must be and we are so happy for everyone that she made such a great recovery. Love to all, Uncle Dave and Aunt Brenda
